waited in line for a few minutes before we could get seated! seemed busy, but to no ones surprise :). found this spot from reddit japan recs, and was worth the wait even in the rain. their specialty is cold udon, but you can’t go wrong with anything else on the menu too. the shrimp tempura hits different and was easily the best one i’ve had in japan. the beef (niku) udon was such a delight too!! fyi - no pictures allowed cept for food.
Delicious udon and with generous serving portions. The tempura is highly recommended too because they make the tempura fresh - crispy! Friendly staff. There is a line at noon. No line after 3 PM.
One the best udon I’ve ever tried… they have english menu as well. Everything is homemade and the taste of the noodle is incredible. If you are a big eater, choose to add-on noodle which a very well proportioned size. Luckily there wasn’t any queue when we reach and probably deserves to be more popular!
I had the beef udon with fried fish cake and my friend had the cold udon with soft boiled egg and fried fish cake. We really enjoyed it, but expected a bit more udon. Other than that, it was a good experience. We waited about 40-45 minutes.
I really enjoyed the fun texture of the noodle! Definitely worth visiting--my waiting time was about 15 min. Ask them for the menu in Eng. I got a basic Udon(750y) w/ maitake mushroom tempura(250y).
Very local restaurant. This is the best udon restaurant in Osaka!
Fresh udon! Tempura is also a must try here!
Go and try by yourself! :)
Really tasty udon; just the right firmness. I wanted to drink the whole dashi broth. We ordered a fishcake, tempura mushroom, soft boiled egg udon set and 2 beef udons. Ended up ordering another side order of fishcake and tempura mushroom because it was so unique and tasty. Had to line up for about 15 min around 11am on a weekday for 3 people. After we were eating the line was even longer, so get here early to avoid the wait.
Homemade udon, best taste so far!
